LOCATION:
Kicking Horse is located 3 hours west of Calgary International Airport. The house is located less than 400 meters to the Gondola Village.
The top floor has three large bedrooms. The master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, amazing views of the Rocky & Selkirk Mountains with a King bed. There is a walk-in closet, and ensuite bathroom with an extra deep soaker tub/shower & heated Travertine tiles.
The second bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, spectacular views of the ski resort and the local 'Clam Shell' peak. Bedding is either king bed or two XL twin beds and an additional xl twin bed (King + XL Twin or 3 x XL Twins).
The third bedroom has views to both the resort and the valley, with 2 x XL Twin beds that can also be made as a king. There is a second shared bathroom on the top floor with heated floors and tiled tub/shower.
The main-floor has a larger main entry foyer with 2 closets and heated travertine floors leading to the kitchen, great room, a full bathroom 2 person shower), laundry room, stairs up/down and the over-sized single car garage. There is also access to the large deck with a covered hot tub and BBQ area from the laundry room and dining room. Amazing valley & mountain views.
The kitchen has leathered granite counter tops, stainless appliances, breakfast bar and heated travertine floors. The kitchen is well stocked and has place settings, cutlery, etc. for 12 people.
The dining room table that accommodates 10 people and opens on to the large deck through French Doors. The kitchen bar accommodates 3 place settings and it's possible to use the dining room console for an additional 2 place settings.
The living room has hand scraped hardwood floors, Fir Timberframe accents, propane fireplace, queen hide-a-bed sofa, 2 leather reading chairs and spectacular views of the Rocky & Selkirk Mountains.
The main-floor full bathroom has heated travertine floors and a two person shower, perfect for showering off for the hot tub.
The laundry room has extra large capacity washer and dryer and access to the hot tub. Fluff your towel on the way to the hot tub.
The walk-out ground floor has the 4th & 5th bedrooms, media area, and foos ball table. One bedroom has a built-in extra long twin bunk bed and a King bed that can be split into 2 twins. The top bunk has a fun entrance through a hole in the wall from the media area. Kids love it!
The second basement bedroom hosts a queen bed.
The bathroom has a body jet shower and heated travertine floors.
The media area has a queen hide-a-bed sofa to accommodate extra guests in their own space.
The walk-out ground floor level has a separate entry & closet area, making it perfect when 2 families share the house. Each family can have a floor to themselves and share the main floor kitchen/living/dining area.
There is lots of space to store ski jackets, boots, etc. The garage has designated ski storage and boot drying area.
We take pride in our resort home, we frequently use the property ourselves, so it is well equipped and well maintained and clean.
We have what you need to make life traveling with kids easy! Books and toys for all ages of kids. A booster seat that attaches onto the dining room chair. Plastic cups. Sound proofing between the floors so you can put the kids to bed and still enjoy some adult time with out disturbing their sleep.
