2 Bedroom Cabin in Prattsville
Alpine Ridge is set on 3 acres of land, high up on a private road. From the house, you'll see the mountain views across the valley. We designed and curated our home to be a perfect escape. Though remote, we are close to town and all the essentials for convenience: 5 mins to Prattsville, 15 mins from Windham and 25 mins from Hunter.
The Catskills are abundant with hiking trails, ski slopes, quaint towns, local events, wedding venues, and farm-to-table restaurants.
HOME:
Location:
We are the last home at the top of a quiet private road. Looking out, you only see the view and the forest surrounding you. The home is secluded and perfect for a couples getaway, friend's weekend, a girl's weekend, or anyone looking to work remotely in a peaceful setting.
Indoors:
Our home features two relaxing queen bedrooms, with an available queen air mattress for extra guests.
We have two full bathrooms. One has a deep soaking tub- perfect for après ski, or after a long hike! Bath salts, bubble baths, and a spa tray are all available for your soak.
The main room has an open floor plan and connects the living room and dine-in kitchen. There is a wood stove which heats up the home very nicely in the Wintertime. Our kitchen is well stocked, including roasting sticks for the fire pit, and pizza oven tools.
Off the side of the living room, there is a desk set up for those working remotely. The wi-fi here is great, and Verizon/T-Mobile has strong signals.
Outdoors:
Adjacent to the living area is our 30 foot covered deck which looks out to the mountains. The deck features an outdoor dining table and a seating area to take in the views. Have your coffee on the deck or take in some serene morning yoga.
A couple steps down from the deck, there is a new cooking pergola with a prep table and grill. Fire up some pizzas or try out wood-fired cooking with our professional Forno Bravo outdoor pizza oven!
We have a firepit on our large lawn. The lawn is great for games, or just sitting out by the fire at night.
ACCESS:
The home is set on the end of a long private drive and you will need an AWD in the Winter to make it to the top of the hill. Winter in the Catskills can get a lot of snow- there is usually 2-4 inches of snow on the road leading up.
The road and driveway will be plowed after a storm, but the walkway up the the house may have some snow!
Please limit to 3 cars in your travelling party.
To know that you read this: when submitting for a Winter booking, please acknowledge that you will need an AWD with good tires to get up the hill at the private road.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
The laundry room is accessible for stays that are a week or longer.
There is firewood and kindling at the pizza oven and wood stove. Additional bundles on the back deck available for purchase.
Non-shedding dogs under 20 lbs are welcome for an additional fee. Only one dog per stay. Please be respectful to our cleaners and keep dogs off bedding/pick up after them.
