The Space:
Enjoy city life in a residential neighborhood! This home resides in a neighborhood where the occasional plane or train may pass through. We do provide sound machines to drown out the noise while sleeping. Light sleepers may enjoy these!

We use a noise monitoring device; It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply listens to the noise level (measured in decibels).

Guest Access:
This property has a strict policy against noise after 10 PM nightly. It is important to us that we are good neighbors and a compliment to the community.

The Neighborhood:
Live like a local! From here you'll be able to walk to some of the most highly recommended restaurants and bars Louisville has to offer. Known for their incredible bourbon selection, you'll find The Silver Dollar and Bourbon Bistro are within 5-10 minutes, walking distance, from the house. If you're looking for something outside of the classic American cuisine, you are walking distance from many other fabulous options. Grape Leaf, Irish Rover, Osaka Sushi, Varanese, Volare, The Hub, El Mundo, North End Cafe, Vint Coffee, Please and Thank You and Caffe Classico are all fantastic places, just to name a few.

After having a bit of lunch there are bookstores, such as Carmichael's, and vintage shops and Boutiques peppered along Frankfort Avenue to explore. Margaret's, is a classic vintage and thrift store. Evolve: The Men's Resale Store, is an upscale and luxury consignment shop. And Peacock Boutique is fabulous for new high end fashion styles.

If you're more into antique shopping, 2023 Antiques and Nussbaum Antiques and Fine Art practically next door and Crescent Hill Trading Company a few blocks away. Crazy Daisy is a popular local antique shop on the edge of downtown and within easy driving distance.

Getting Around:
Uber and Lyft are available nearly 24/7 and can take you anywhere in the city. Most destinations can be reached in 15 minutes or less. Our city thrives on Lyft and Uber. Download the apps on your phone and be anywhere within minutes. Nulu and Downtown also offer a Bike Share Program, LouVelo, and scooters, Lime and Bird.

There is plenty to walk to in this beautiful neighborhood. You are just a short Uber or Taxi ride to the airport, downtown, or any other desired area of Louisville. Almost anywhere in the city is a 10 minute ride from here.

Other Things to Note:
You will be renting an entire house. Unlike a hotel, no one is on-site 24/7. If problems arise, we do our best to take action ASAP. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all.

Our kitchens are well-equipped to prepare meals and feature all cookware and dining utensils. Basics, such as salt, pepper, and oil, are often on-site. However, we are not always made aware when the last of these items are used. Please check the space before going to the grocery to ensure you have all items necessary for meal preparation.

This property is located in the heart of a popular locals area, filled with restaurants and shops. There may be foot or street traffic, especially on weekends. There is also a train track on the back property line. The house is pretty air tight and does a great job of keeping outside noises outside. We also provide white noise machines for light sleepers. I have never personally been bothered by either. Let us know if you have questions.

Summary: The property had a lot of Louisville charm! Most of the rooms looked larger in person than in the pictures and we spent a lot of time in the large living/dining area chatting with our friends. The street has many places to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner as well as grab a coffee or a drink and there is a grocery store in walking distance. We also walked to the Waterfront Botanical Gardens, Thurston Park, Big Four Bridge, and Cave Hill Cemetery & Arboretum. I did not understand the layout of the rooms from the pictures and description, but it worked for us. The house can be described as having a shotgun floor plan. That is, one room follows the next from the front to the back of the building: bedroom 1, bedroom 2, living/dining room, kitchen, bedroom 3. One bathroom is off bedroom 3 and the second is off the living/dining area. Overall I thought this was a GREAT place to stay and very reasonably priced.
