Located just around the corner from the Lake Lure Beach and Marina and a few minutes' drive from Chimney Rock State Park, the Magnolia Cabin is a mountain getaway gem that has provided a restful escape for travelers for 20 years. The cabin is conveniently located, yet private. While it does not offer either lake or mountain views, it is surrounded by gorgeous towering trees that will make you feel like you're hidden away in the woods.
Come enjoy your own private deck with a sparkling-clean hot tub for two, comfortable king size bed, fireplace, Wi-Fi, Netflix and so much more. The Magnolia Cabin is carefully decorated with antiques, collectibles and regionally hand-crafted furniture. Feel free to sleep in, as your kitchen is stocked with breakfast goodies to start the day at your own pace (local farm eggs, homemade bread & muffins, hot cereal, fresh fruit, butter, jam, creamers, sweeteners, coffee, tea & cocoa).
The property is nestled under a beautiful tree canopy and provides ample seating areas to appreciate the natural surroundings and--if you're lucky--wildlife including our adorable flying squirrels, whitetail deer, hummingbirds and chameleons. The picnic pavilion, available for use by all four units, provides guests with a gas grill and al fresco dining area. In Fall 2020, we also added a sweet little propane firepit to enhance your outdoor relaxation.
The Magnolia Cabin is an ideal choice for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, romantic escapes and relaxation retreats. Our guests return again and again for the peaceful mountain cabin ambiance and thoughtful amenities that provide a respite from whatever stresses may beset your everyday life. Whether you stay a weekend or a week, you will find yourselves charmed by the spirit of this magnificent place.
If you can tear yourselves away from the comforts of your cabin, you will discover a wide variety of pleasures and adventures in any season: from unique local restaurants to gift and antique shops, hiking trails and tours, boat and kayak rentals, seasonal produce and craft stands, winery tastings, zip-line tours, horseback riding and whitewater adventures.

**IMPORTANT**: In periods of lower demand and occupancy, we may offer single-night stays. The rates reflected in our calendar assume a minimum two-night stay; however, because the effort and costs involved in a one-night rental are virtually the same as a multi-night stay, we may charge an additional supplement for one-night bookings (between $15-30). If you request a single night's stay, we will send you a new quote with the fee added which you can choose to accept or decline.

==A special note regarding cancellations in pandemic times==
We have seen a distinct increase in last-minute cancellations since 2020. While we understand that life in general feels more uncertain these days and that many are struggling, we ask guests to recognize that the same applies to us as small business owners with a sole source of income.
If you would like to book with us but a last-minute cancellation (and loss of any monies paid to us) would be unsustainable for you, we recommend you purchase trip insurance with cancel-for-any-reason coverage.
