The Maya is a charming mature community, conveniently located to Old Town, restaurants, sports events and entertainment.
This unit is an adult only unit.
Nicely renovated, this unit will accommodate four comfortably. Although we are not on site, we have a property manager, Stephanie, who is local and coordinates everything from the initial meet-and-greet to addressing any questions or issues you may have during your stay.
LIVING ROOM / DINING ROOM AREA
The living room has a 60-inch LED Smart TV and a sound bar, comfy couch and 2 recliners and a small work area.
The dining room table is set up for four people and the breakfast bar will seat two.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is well-appointed with dishes and cutlery, including serving pieces, all standard small appliances. Conveniences also include a Keuring one-cup system and 12-cup coffee maker.
For your first morning, you will find K-cups (coffee), tea for each; we provide dairy creamer and packets of cane sugar, sweetener and stevia. If you prefer milk or cream, you'll want to stop at Sprout's across Miller Rd or Fry's at Indian School Rd and Miller on your way to the unit. Salt and pepper, basic spices and condiments are also always included, as well as dish washing liquid and dishwasher tabs. The kitchen is also stocked with a limited supply of the following: tin foil, plastic wrap, cooking oil, and cooking spray.
BEDROOMS / BATHROOMS
One bedroom as a king sized bed and second bedroom has two double/full sized beds. All of the beds have hypoallergenic mattress pads and pillow covers. Each bathroom has a hair dryer and curling iron; bed linens, bathing and pool towels are supplied. Please ensure that only the colored pool towels are taken to the pool or spa. The bath linens are strictly for in-house use. The master en suite is a three-piece with walk in shower. The guest en suite has a large vanity area, with the tub and toilet separated by a door.
The unit is cleaned just before your arrival, including fresh linens. If you desire additional housekeeping services during your stay, Stephanie can arrange this for you and you pay the housekeeper directly.
PATIO
The ground floor unit has a roller shade and roller screen which is operated by a control on the wall inside the unit; the patio is furnished with a comfortable patio table and chairs and is steps away from the beautiful resort style heated pool.
The patio also has a wall-mounted fireplace which is operated by remote control or manual switch on the top right-hand corner. Settings include low/high heat and just visual. The addition of the fireplace on the patio makes this a complete extra room year-round, no matter how chilly an evening may become . Put the roller shade or screen down and you can enjoy it all evening.
LAUNDRY
The common laundr-o-mat is about one minute away on the second floor (stairs) and third floor (elevator) or ramp, and very reasonably priced. Laundry tabs are provided for your convenience. You will find these under the kitchen sink. A wash is $2.50 and the dryer is $1.75.
SUNDRIES
We also provide liquid hand soap, air freshener, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, six rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towel, and a basic first-aid kit. We ask that you let us know if you have used anything from the first-aid kit so that we can replenish it after you've left.
COMMON AREAS
In the pool common area, you have the use of lounge chairs and tables, and a ping pong table. There are bar-b-ques located just outside the pool area on the east side and behind the club house/spa area on the west side.
We include plastic wine and drinking glasses, paper plates for use when outside the condo-proper. GLASS IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE POOL/SPA/COMMON areas and we ask that you respect this policy. ALL DRINKS AND FOOD MUST BE KEPT 4 FEET AWAY FROM THE POOL and SPA WATER. This is a Maricopa County By-Law and is enforced with violations/fines by Maya Management. Hours of operation for the pool and hot tub are 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
AREA INFORMATION
You will find Sprouts Food Market within an easy (3-4 minute) walking distance, just across Miller Rd, (just south of Camelback); there is Circle K and gas station, several restaurants, a sports bar and TJ Maxx in that same plaza. There is a Fry's Grocery on Miller at Indian School, about .8 mile south on Miller. There is a CVS Pharmacy right across the road from Fry's.
Cab rides are very inexpensive if you don't want to walk, and the golf-cart shuttles are always available for the trip home. Trolleys are free in Scottsdale and The Miller Road Trolley stops a mere steps from the Maya Complex on Miller Rd just south of Camelback just out front of the Circle K.
The Maya Condominium is very close to the entertainment and fashion districts. It is a wonderful community where you can make friends, or you can keep to yourself as you wish.
There are many golf courses nearby, car races, spring training, hiking, walking trails. And there's shopping, lots and lots of shopping to do with Fashion Square and Old Town so close by.
