Villa Contenta was originally built for the Foreman of the Little Daisy mine. James Douglas built the Little Daisy Hotel for his miners and the two neighboring properties - One for his Engineer and The Villa Contenta for the foreman of the mine. All three sit on the hillside above his private Mansion, which is now a state park. The mines closed in 1953, forever changing their original intended use. Today - You can find these three properties all lovingly restored and available to the public for private stays.
To one side of these properties, the picturesque vista over the Town of Jerome is peacefully reminiscent of the Mediterranean countryside.
