Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location of the property was good. Great views as we stayed in a condo on the outside of the property, overlooking the harbour and the beach. The property grounds were well kept.

Negative: Upon our arrival we were informed by a notice that had been stuck to the front door that there would be planned maintenance work taking place during our stay. This included loud machinery being used (the notice stated between the hours of 9am-3pm). Despite this we were woken multiple times during our stay at as early as 7:15am by loud machinery right outside our bedroom window. I spoke to the office who said that the work had been in plan for a year and had to go ahead. They said that they had asked the builder not to start work until after 8am. It would have been nice to be informed of the planned building work BEFORE my booking was secured. I would not have chosen this property had I know that my vacation would entail being woken up early by loud machinery. I was offered the opportunity to move buildings or take a 15% reduction on the price of my stay.

Summary: Without the building work the property would have been ideal. Condo was spacious and clean.
