Looking for a place to escape reality? This log-face home is in a remote area but is close enough in proximity of things to do.
This is a two story home with 2 private bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Upstairs, there is a loft area with 2 full size futons which can each sleep 2 people. Each of the bedrooms can also accommodate 2 people.
Guests have access to the entire home. There is a porch in the front and the back. There is a gas and charcoal grill. Behind the back porch is a fire pit for making s'mores or to keep you warm on a chilly night. Inside there is also a fire place. We supply the wood. There is a pot located on top of the indoor fireplace should you want to fill it with water to create moisture in the air. There are 2 air conditioners which will keep the entire home cool in the summer. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. If you are attending a concert or event at Bethel Woods, this home is located about 40 minutes from the venue. There is also a new casino in the same proximity to the home as well.
We will have books and dvds in the home as this is the perfect getaway to lounge and escape into a good book or movie. Please note that there is not cable or wi-fi. Cell phone reception is spotty with sprint and t-mobile but still available in some areas around the house. Verizon cell phone reception is much better.
This home is located on 25 private acres of woods between Roscoe (Trout Town USA) and Hancock (a town known for Bald Eagle watching) and between the Beaverkill River (famous for trout fishing) and the Delaware River (known for fishing, canoeing and tubing). There is a gas station/corner store about 5 minutes away for necessities. In the town of Roscoe (about 10-12 minute drive) there is a grocery and liquor store. There is also a nearby distillery and brewery if you are looking for a daytime activity. You can also drive about 10 minutes to a lake where you can use non-motor items such as kayak or paddle board. We do not have those on site but you can certainly bring your own.
