Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Petite Nation and only a stone’s throw from the famous Papineau-Labelle provincial reserve, Les Chalets d’Aile-Laine’s the Saint-Ex cottage aims to please with near all-inclusive amenities and features.
Situated on the shore of a beautiful and peaceful lake and in the middle of a 165 acres estate, the Saint-Ex serves up 2400 sqf of vintage luxury cottage feel but with all the modern amenities.
Full gym, pool table, kayaks, paddle boards, hiking trails, etc
The Saint-Ex features true vintage luxury cottage feel with it’s real wood finish throughout but delivers all the modern amenities with a beautiful fully functional kitchen. Another great feature of the Saint-Ex is a separate bar area with mini fridge.
The space is huge and airy featuring 2 living rooms, one on each floor. Cottages this size usually accommodate double the capacity but we intentionally kept the capacity low (relative to size) for a more exclusive and peaceful atmosphere.
A detached garage was converted into a gym and pool hall for use by our guests, free of charge. This space is shared with guests of our other cottage, le Petit Prince.
Even though this cottage doesn’t (yet) have a washer and dryer, we can easily accommodate “emergencies” by giving access to our secondary units located in our house basement, with it’s own outside entry.
We live on the estate but make ourselves very discret. We are there to provide immediate assistance if needed and for the property upkeep.
We provide the following sporting goods/activities to our guest, free of charge:
2 sit-on-top kayaks per cottage.
2 paddle-boards per cottage.
1 paddle boat (shared).
1 canoe (shared).
1 fishing/cruising aluminum boat with electric motor.
Life jackets (including for kids and very young children).
Access to our brand new dock (May 21st 2022) with each cottage having it’s own 10’x16’ swimming platform.
Complete free weight gym with elliptical machine.
Pool table.
10 pairs of snowshoes with poles (including 2 pairs for kids and 2 pairs for young children).
Hiking/Mountain biking trails.
Snowmobile and ATV enthusiasts will be delighted to know that the federated trails are only 5 minutes from the property and that the municipality allows riders to get to and from trails on public roads, so no trailering required! We also offer indoor sled/ATV parking in our barn.
Even though we don’t want to run a “Monk Monastery” we do expect our guests to respect the peaceful and serene nature of our environment. We do live on site (in a separate residence) and will enforce our policies:
No “parties”.
1 pet (dogs only) maximum, fully house trained only (no puppies), dogs must be on leash at all times outside the cottage (to protect the wildlife, our barn cat and to ensure guests pick-up after their pets), absolutely no pets on furniture. Dog poop must be picked up everywhere, even on trails. No «pipi pads» ALL dog business must be done outside.
No over capacity (we can accommodate an additional occupant or 2 sometimes but it must be agreed upon at reservation).
There is a «noise curfew» of 10:00 PM. Minimum age to book is 25 yrs/old.
