Bliss is a 5 bedroom waterfront resort style "home away from home" with every possible comfort for you and your family to enjoy. The cottage has been custom designed to provide spectacular views of the West Lake sunsets from inside. Shielded from the elements, the covered gazebo provides peace of mind while you take in the sights and sounds of nature. Alternatively, cool off in the shade under the tree canopy as you immerse yourself in this tranquil waterfront escape.
This gorgeous home has been featured in Picton’s “House and Gardens Tour”, Bliss’ gardening and foliage provide a symphony of aesthetic enjoyment throughout your stay. Genuine wild roses, peonies, holly bushes and hostas are some of the flora nestled beneath the majestic oak, pine and spruce trees enveloping this getaway.
Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, gas barbecue, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, blender, cookware and dishes. Previous guests have raved about how little they have to bring. From a range of spices to coffee and cleaning supplies, our guests simply need to show up without the hassle of getting supplies ahead of time. High quality bedding, towels and toiletries are provided. The lower level has a washer/dryer, iron/ironing board and an additional full fridge/freezer. Please bring your own beach towels.
We have a fire pit available on the premises. We ask that guests bring their own wood either from Picton or one of the roadside vendors along County Road 12 (cash).

Details on the rooms:
The great room contains a large stone wall, a wood burning fireplace and 13 foot ceilings. Panoramic windows frame the entire length of the cottage and there is a walkout to the 400 square foot cedar deck with tempered glass inserts for unobstructed views.
This main level also offers plenty of space for the family to relax in, watch TV and/or listen to music. The large dining room and open concept kitchen are also on this main level.
The master bedroom is a spacious 800 square feet with a luxuriously decorated king bed, reading area, TV and gas fireplace. It also boasts a beautiful 5 piece en suite with an air bubble bath tub and a massive walk in closet.The view from the bedroom is fabulous with panoramic windows throughout making this light filled sunroom a perfect spot for relaxing with your morning coffee. You can easily walk out to the spacious deck from the Master as well. Two recently renovated bedrooms with a double bed in each and another newly renovated full bathroom finish off the main level.
The lower level of the cottage features a fourth bedroom with a queen bed and a 2 piece bathroom, followed by a spacious fifth bedroom with two double beds. The spacious family room offers a pull out queen sofa bed, leather furniture and a third TV with a gaming system. The extra sleeping arrangements allow groups or families to vacation together. The lower level also offers a recreation room for families with plenty of table space to enjoy the many games and puzzles provided.
The backyard is simply stunning and no doubt where you will spend the majority of your time. The large covered gazebo provides a majestic experience for dining, lounging or just viewing the western exposure for the fabulous sunsets off West Lake. The dock is a perfect way to get into the water and swim. Although the water is not deep enough for diving off of the dock there is a ladder to lower you down. Boats should not be tied to the dock but many guests have boasted success while fishing off the end of the dock. There is also a launch point where you can safely lower the three kayaks or one canoe that are provided for your enjoyment. PFDs are provided for your safety. If you are feeling up to a little challenge you can kayak across the lake to the sand dunes for an adventure.
The front of the house offers a patterned concrete driveway which can accommodate 6-8 vehicles. There is also a shed for storage of bikes, water sports equipment, lawn games and garbage/recycling.
Finally, 2 Passes to Sandbanks Provincial Park are included for use during your stay.
