The Space
The Sitka Suite offers a clean, cozy, and functional space for your visit.
LIVING AREA: The main room features a comfortable armchair for relaxing after a day of exploration, a Smart TV for streaming your favourite shows, and a large windows to look out towards the ocean or the Village centre. (Please note: We have a double bed in the living room to accommodate larger groups, but we are excited to be adding a brand new, comfortable sofa-bed in the coming weeks to provide additional living room space during the day, and extra sleeping space during the night.)
WELL-EQUIPPED KITCHENETTE: While not a full kitchen, the kitchenette is thoughtfully equipped with modern conveniences for preparing simple meals. The grocer is not much more than a hop-skip-and-a-jump distance away. The kitchenette includes a medium-sized fridge, microwave, toaster, dual conduction burners, and a versatile air fryer/convection oven. All the necessary cookware, dishes, and utensils are provided.
BEDROOM: Rest peacefully in a cozy queen bed appointed with clean, quality linens. The secondary bed is in the living room.
BATHROOM: A full, clean bathroom with a shower and tub awaits. We provide quality towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner for your convenience.

About Your Hosts & Gordie's Legacy
Gordie's Inn & Suites is a local family-run property, named in honour of Jenna's late grandfather, Gordon "Gordie" Peterson. A former Mayor and pillar of the community, Gordie was raised on this very property. As hosts with deep roots in the 'Namgis and Kwakwa̱ka̱'wakw communities, we (Joe and Jenna) are proud to continue his legacy of service and welcome you to the island we call home.
Other Things to Note
Please note that the former restaurant space above your suite is now used as a quiet office space, so you can expect a peaceful evening environment during your stay, while you enjoy the sunset over your ocean views. This suite offers a comfortable home base to explore what Cormorant Island has to offer.
