Summary: The property is in a very nice setting right on the lake, with a welcoming and spacious interior. The kitchen was well stocked with functional plates and cookware, and the layout worked well for our group.However, several issues made our stay less enjoyable:The shower’s support arm pulled out during normal use due to a clear preexisting issue. Instead of addressing it, the host accused us of breaking it, which felt dismissive and unfair.The outdoor carpet on the stairs was ripped and detached, posing a serious tripping hazard.Cleanliness was lacking: there were minor carpet stains, multiple stains on interior doors, a strong rust/metallic odor in the shower water, and visible iron deposit stains in the bathrooms.The master bedroom lacked privacy, with large windows covered only by sheer curtains that couldn’t be closed.The gas grill was dirty, and the propane tank was completely empty. We had to purchase a replacement ourselves and bill the host.When we contacted the host about these concerns, we were met with blame rather than solutions. The home has potential, and the location is lovely, but it needs better maintenance, improved cleanliness, and more respectful guest communication.
