The space
This is not your ordinary STR. This home was built and designed as a primary residence and it shows. It will feel more like an upscale hotel than an Airbnb. It is impeccably designed with mountain views from virtually everywhere.
The hot tub has an infinity pool feel as it sits perched overlooking the lake and The Great Smokies. The fire pit has a similar view in the summer and 180 degree views in the winter.
Nestled in a gated community of only twenty homes, you’ll have peace, serenity, and solitude.
Guest access
The home is in a gated community so you’ll need a gate code to get in. The home sits atop a mountain - how else would you have the spectacular views? - this means the drive in does have two switchbacks. All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicle is best, but front wheel drive works if you are a confident mountain driver. The house can be accessed by a door code that changes. We will provide that prior to arrival. If you come in December, January or February you must have All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive.
Other things to note
Absolutely no pets, no smoking, and no parties! Violations of any of these rules will result in the forfeiture of your entire deposit and the immediate cancellation of your booking mid trip.

Cell service works best on the back side of the home.
We do have Wi-Fi, but it isn’t city cable or fiber optics. It’s satellite. The data plans available in this area are also very limited. Unlimited does not exist up here. Streaming videos or games will most likely not only affect your ability to use the Wi-Fi for checking email, but also affect guests who come after you until the month rolls over.
We do have Dish TV as well. It is also dependent upon a clear satellite connection.
The price per night here is based on our upscale home, the most amazing views around, and our proximity to all of the adventure this area offers - not Wi-Fi or cable tv.
