"Chateau Relaxo" is an end unit condo located on the top floor that has everything you need for a relaxing vacation in Atlantic Beach. The unit is located in the sound side community of Bogue Shores Suites. With convenient ocean access directly across the street and the Inter-coastal Waterway in the complex's backyard, this condo will not disappoint. Days at "Chateau Relaxo" can be spent beach side fishing, reading, and building sandcastles or at the community pool which is one of the largest on the island. Evenings turn into cooking on the communal grills with a cold drink and beautiful sound view.
The condo's remodeled bathroom has a corner shower with full size vanity/sink. Summary: Multiple issues on arrival with cleanliness of the condo. Sheets had not been changed and were full of sand and hair. The mattress cover was stained and filthy. Unsanitary items were left in the bathroom (bag full of old razors and denture paste), trash had not been emptied, and there was a dead smashed roach on kitchen counter. There was only one set of towels and they were very small, like for a small child. I would bring your own. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the host was very nice and responsive. She came to the condo and changed the sheets and left us 60 to compensate us for the inconvenience. Unfortunately the cleaning crew is not doing their job. I hope they can rectify the issues. The property is a short walk to the beach and otherwise we had a nice weekend. It is definitely small and would not recommend more than 2 people with the tight space.
