The space
Just a quick note to let you know that our guest suite is located on the main level of our house—there’s no basement—while our family lives on the 2nd floor. It’s just my wife and me, our two teenagers, and our lovable Labradoodle, Kizou. He’s a friendly, people-loving fluffball, but if you’re not a fan of dogs or feel uncomfortable, no worries—Kizou will stay out of your way. He’s always with us, either on a leash, inside the house, or safely in our fully fenced yard. He is generally very calm and quiet - guests have even been surprised to learn that we have a dog
You’ll enjoy complete privacy with your own entrance by the side of our house. For your safety and to help us maintain a peaceful environment, we have an outdoor security camera that monitors the path leading to your door.
There is lots of free parking on the street, bike paths and pedestrian paths make exploring North Vancouver easy and fun
Guest access
You’ll have exclusive access to a charming patio in our lush garden, located by our magnificent giant Oak Tree. This spot offers a perfect retreat with shade during the hottest part of the day. It’s a lovely place to enjoy a drink at sunset or savor a morning coffee while catching the sunrise. Feel free to relax and make the most of this serene outdoor space during your stay!
An EV charger is available upon request, subject to availability, as it is shared with us.
Other things to note
Our house and suite have been recently renovated with polyurethane insulation, which helps make them quite soundproof for music and conversations. However, you might occasionally hear some noise from footsteps during the day, though we do our best to keep it minimal. We’re usually in bed by 10 PM, and our teenagers are either in school during the day or sleeping in until around 11 AM on non-school days.
Given this, our rental isn’t ideal for parties or loud gatherings. We strive to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone and appreciate your understanding and respect for our home and neighborhood. For longer stays, all consumable supplies will be included for at least one week.
