Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. While first impressions from the outside may be a little misleading, the house is much larger and more modern inside, with all the essentials you’d need. The sitting room was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the bedrooms were spacious with plenty of storage. The beds were particularly comfortable, with high-quality mattresses, pillows, and duvets. Although the bathroom looks a bit dated, the shower was excellent with strong, easy-to-use water pressure.

Negative: On the downside, we stayed during a very cold week in early January and the house was extremely cold on arrival. The heating system was difficult to manage and appeared to be pre-programmed, switching itself off despite our attempts to adjust it. The first night was especially uncomfortable, although we eventually figured it out later in the stay. The cold was made worse by draughts from the front door (no letterbox flap and an internal door that wouldn’t stay closed). The front door lock was also quite temperamental. Additionally, while the blinds are blackout, they don’t fully block light due to gaps, which affects privacy. Parking was manageable but not ideal, as cars must be moved every three hours to avoid clamping. Using the Payzone app worked fine, though it was a bit inconvenient.
