Unique modern farmhouse with a lot of words as I look to fill out this section that I am later going to replace with a bunch of different words small ones and big ones and all the words i between before. This secluded guesthouse has many unique features, including a bar with ice machine, lofted nook, huge deck and hot tub set among mature live oak trees. It sits on the back of a 7-acre cul-de-sac property, with only the owner's main house visible. This newly-built barndominium features modern raw concrete floors and open living spaces, with a handicap accessible bathroom and well-appointed kitchen area. There is a large collection of board games, as well as outdoor games for the deck. The deck includes a small wood firepit for seasonal use, as well as a Weber BBQ grill. A Peloton is available for guest use (please bring your own shoes). There are 2 smart TV's with Roku, one in the main living space and one in the lofted 2nd living space.
Our neighborhood is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country in an ideal location for visiting Austin, San Antonio and the Dripping Springs to Fredricksburg Wine & Beer Trail. We are just 20 minutes from Austin and 1 hour from San Antonio, as well as 10 minutes from the famous Salt Lick, with easy access to many breweries, wineries and distilleries in the Dripping Springs area. Our neighborhood is made of large lots and wild spaces: at night you will frequently hear coyotes & owls and see nothing but stars in the dark night sky, and during the day you might hear roosters crowing and hummingbirds buzzing.
-While we are only about 25 minutes from the airport, we highly suggest a rental car. It can be challenging to get Ubers and Lyfts at our location.
-This property has a gated entrance. We will provide a gate code and access code for door.
-There are presently two friendly ranch dogs-Jack & Annie. They have access to the entire property so they will come up to say hi. If there concerns about our dogs, we can discuss. There are also a small number of chickens who you may see in the yard if we are letting them free range.
-Our property is on the other side of a low water crossing. It is rarely flooded, but sometimes in the spring you will drive through a few inches of water. We will give you warning if there is any concern with the creek before your stay.
-Our property backs up to the largest Hindu temple in the Southwest. They are on 450 acres, so you will not see the temple or anyone there, however, early on Sunday mornings you may hear some peaceful chanting and music if you are on the deck!
-If you would like to make use of the keg during your stay, contact us ahead of time with a request. We can pick up a 1/6 barrel keg for you (about 60 pints) and you can reimburse us.
