Enchanting in-town adobe, Casitas Encantadas is a sanctuary with private country-feel and stunning views of Taos Mountain, yet conveniently located near the renowned historic plaza shops, restaurants, and galleries. The remodeled main house dates to circa 1895, is two bedroom, one large full bath and will sleep up to four guests; however, if your party is larger or if you want to spread out, you may rent the adjacent and totally adorable Casita/guesthouse. Guests will love the proximity to: downtown amenities (including the nearby Monte Sagrado Resort and Spa); world-class Taos Ski Valley; Rio Grande Gorge rafting, fly fishing and trail adventures; musical venues and parks; and fabulous museums recounting the fascinating history of this region.
The utterly charming, light-filled, double adobe main house has been updated with: hard-trowel plaster throughout, a modern kitchen, gas fireplace and a wood burning kiva fireplaces, refinished wood floors, hi-speed WiFi and HD Satellite TV, and a wonderful flagstone deck facing Taos Mountain and the incomparable Sangre de Cristo cordillera.
The cute beyond belief Casita sleeps two and includes: beautiful woodwork throughout, a thoughtful efficiency kitchen and dining area, bathroom with shower, full-size bed and living area, portal, HD TV and WiFi, and, yes, views that will knock your socks off!
The entire property sits on nearly .5 acres, is walled/fenced for privacy offering plenty of room for family barbeques/games, and borders the Rio Fernando, which flows magically during Spring run-off and into the summer. As if that weren’t enough, there is a historic acequia (irrigation ditch) winding through the property that flows during irrigation season.
