The Captain William Morgan House is a 2,700 sq. ft. sea captain’s home built in 1852, beautifully renovated in 2015.
This Greek Revival has been thoughtfully updated with modern comforts while maintaining its original charm.
The Captain Morgan House has three bedrooms plus two loft bedrooms, two full baths, and sleeps up to 10.
It sits in the heart of downtown Mystic’s historic district, just a 3 minute walk to shops, restaurants, and everything downtown has to offer, so you can leave your car behind and walk everywhere.
The yard is entirely fenced in, perfect for relaxing outdoors. In addition to the cozy sitting porch out front and the large, covered, pillared porch at the back of the house, there is also a private stone patio tucked into the far corner of the yard, a peaceful spot for morning coffee or tea.
The spacious yard also features a hammock and an in-ground stone fire pit for relaxed evenings.
A picnic table sits at the far back of the yard, and the property is surrounded by beautiful flowering gardens, with roses, hydrangeas, lavender, and seasonal perennials adding color and fragrance throughout the season and creating a calm, welcoming setting.

Summary: To put it simply - absolutely fantastic. The house and property is absolutely amazing and Sue and Tyler's attention to detail truly is second to none. The location is (obviously) perfect for a stay in wonderful Mystic. At first I was concerned with only street parking but you are able to work it out easily and the street never really fills up. The back yard area is better than it even looks in pictures and the bedrooms and kitchen areas were immaculate. We were there for Conn College Fall Weekend and couldn't have chosen a better place. If you are looking for a place to stay in Mystic - look no further - you will not regret this place. Thanks again to our wonderful hosts.
