Private deck with a 4-seater hot tub faces the ocean, ideal for watching the sunrise or sunset while sipping coffee, tea, beer, or wine, & stargazing free from light pollution by night.
Located on the ridge above Highway 1, LalaLand is usually sunnier & warmer than surrounding areas, typically with no wind.
The space
At Lala Land, you will find peace, quiet, & restoration. The Redwood Retreat at LaLa Land is a private locked suite with a separate entrance from the main house. There are no shared walls or direct line of sight, as the Redwood Retreat is on the lower level below the main house.
Cozy & stylish with a cozy double bed & lounge chairs.
You'll be able to enjoy the ocean view from the hot tub deck area.
The spacious bathroom features stunning with views of the redwoods from the shower.
Step out into the meadow to enjoy the scent of the surrounding redwoods & the warmth of the ocean ridge sunshine.
Kitchenette includes:
-sink, mini-fridge, toaster oven, microwave, electric burner, drip coffee maker, French press, tea kettle, crock-pot, & many other essentials (see photos). We provide coffee, creamer, sugar, oil, and even farm fresh eggs when available. Help yourself to apples from the tree outside your door when in season.
Lala Land features private filtered well-water which is delicious & refreshing.
Guest access
Please drive slowly (15 mph or less) on the dirt road and SLOW DOWN immediately if you see someone walking. Please pull into the driveway very SLOWLY as the dogs may be roaming.
You are welcome to enjoy the deck of your BnB to watch the sunset over the ocean, as well as the shaded area surrounding the front door with redwood views, and walk up or down the driveway through either gate to go for walks on the dirt road to the beach.
Other things to note
Please disclose your pet(s) and a few details about your pet(s) prior to arrival. Pet fee ($50 per pet) due prior to arrival/check-in, payable through the app.
We request no pets on the furniture. If this is going to be a problem, please let us know before arrival so we can work with you to make accommodations.
Please remove your shoes at the door. Please wash your dishes & place on the drying mat/rack or put away before leaving.
You will also have plenty of wildlife to enjoy, including hummingbirds, deer, foxes, racoons, skunks, bobcats, & occasionally a bald eagle or hawk.
Please be aware that LaLa Land is our home, so we may be onsite, along with pets that roam the property freely. Mika, our large white Alaskan Malamute mix guards the property and may be present to greet you, or pop by to say hello. She may be accompanied by our new puppy Mimoso, a Yorkie-poodle mix. They are both very friendly to other animals and absolutely love meeting guests. They should not be entering your private unit or deck, or bothering you in any way during your stay, so please let us know if there is a concern.
The Wifi is strong and reliable.
Be very careful about fire hazards. Never leave any appliances on when going outside! Do not put anything on top of the toaster oven, and never leave appliances unattended while on.
