Get away from it all at our cottage situated 400 yards from Crystal Lake and less than a 1/4 mile from Lake Michigan. Enjoy meals on the back deck overlooking a meadow and birch filled forest and private raspberry patch. Screened front porch is great for reading and napping. Completely refurbished in 2008 and 2022 with all new furniture, fresh paint, new hickory floors, new bathrooms, new cedar deck, new washer and dryer, disposal, dishwasher, refrigerator, deck furniture and gas grill. Sleeps 6 comfortably with two firm queen beds one full-size bed. The en-suite master bedroom is located on one end of the house for more privacy from the other two bedrooms. No pets, smoke free. Walking distance to both Lake Michigan and Crystal Lake (less than 1/4 mile to either). Great canoeing, fishing, beach, golf and relaxing.

The Location: Nestled in a clearing in the woods with the natural beauty of birch trees, maples and songbirds surrounding you. Deer pass through the meadow out back during your breakfast on the deck. Our house offers a tranquil retreat and is easily accessible from Traverse City, M-22 and US31. A short walk to Crystal Lake with public access at the end of the road (~400 yards). The House: Built in 1998 as a year round residence, in 2008 we added the log siding and cedar deck (14x20) for a more “up north” feel. Inside we added hickory floors, updated the bath fixtures, painted and installed ceiling fans in every room. In 2022 we updated the frig, dishwasher, Smart TV and added an automatic generator. To expand the living space, we finished the front screened porch with pine siding, log furniture and a swinging bench. Eat inside or out with ample seating at pine table inside and teak table for six just outside on the deck. Comfortably sleeps six. The Neighborhood and Activities: Enjoy walking, biking, jogging, swimming, tennis, golf, deep lake fishing, beachcombing, Petoskey hunting, country drives, great restaurants etc...YOU WILL LOVE IT HERE!!! It is only a short ride to Sleeping Bear Dunes and numerous U-pick berry patches. Enjoy Northern Michigan’s finest summer produce, make pies, crumbles, and try your hand with the ice cream maker.• Canoeing, kayaking or tubing on the Platte or Betsie River. • Concerts of all types at Interlochen Center for the Arts. • Fishing on Crystal Lake, off the Frankfort Pier or deep lake charter fishing on Lake Michigan. • Golfing at five public golf courses in the area and miniature-golf in Benzonia and Beulah.• Go-Karts and Waterpark are a short drive away from the cottage (Interlochen Corners).• Movies in Frankfort at the Garden Theater and The Cherry Bowl Drive-in.
