Nordic Nest is located on the southeast side of Screamer Mountain - the side that is undeveloped and produces majestic sunrise views. While you will feel like you have the mountain to yourself, you are 5 miles from downtown Clayton and all its great restaurants (Clark's on Main, Fortify, U-Joint) and shopping (Wander, Reeve's Ace Hardware).
The space: 3 Bed 2 Bath
This is a great jumping off point for Lake Burton and Lake Rabun, the Tallulah River, Tallulah Gorge, Dillard and countless acres of national forest. Play golf at Kingwood (minutes down the road), fish the Chattooga River, hike the Bartram Trail - the area has it all. When you're done for the day enjoy the incredible view from the deck and hot tub. Our view is the best in Rabun County, and stretches all the way into South Carolina.
New paved road! Nordic Nest does sit on top of the mountain and requires driving up a steep, curving mountain drive. A new private, paved road was just added to make getting to the cabin so much easier! 4 wheel drive is recommended, but not required, but vehicle with ground clearance is suggested. No refunds will be offered for not making it up the mountain.

HOUSE RULES:
Late Check Out Fees are as follows: $50 for the first hour, $100 for two hours, and $500 for any extended time (plus processing fee).
These fees ensure fair compensation for our cleaners or any subsequent guests affected by delays. If you need a late checkout, please inquire in advance. Depending on upcoming bookings, we might accommodate you, though a fee might still apply.
Extra Guests: If more guests than permitted are found at the property, we reserve the right to deny entry or charge an additional fee of $50/night per extra guest.
