This complex was designed by Palmer & Krisel, built by Alexander, and the speakeasy was a former hangout for the Hollywood stars of the time including the Rat Pack. Gene Autry, at one point, loved the lodge so much he bought the entire Lodge and lived in this specific unit. The Ocotillo Lodge offers free high-speed Wi-Fi & cable plus one of the largest pools in the area. The lodge also features 2 big flower-shaped hot tubs with awesome jets and laundry. The Ocotillo lodge is historical, architecturally significant located in the less-windy South Palm Springs area, minutes from downtown with the Ace and Suguaro hotels, Koffi, Elmers and more either walking distance or short bike rides away.
With only two neighbors, no one is above you and this unit has a private patio and over-sized garden area others don’t affording you great San Jacinto Mountain views while enjoying the firepit, fountain and charming outdoor living/lounging spaces. The unit is centrally located to the pool, spa and clubhouse. It’s a charming 1 bedroom bungalow, styled to the nines for the quintessential mid-century life but with modern comfort. Comfortable seating in the living room with a smart TV, it’s condo offers great views from any room with rooms flowing seamlessly into each other. A king-sized bed, a gas BBQ and so much more! The Well-appointed kitchen is fully equipped for a short or longer stay. The bathroom offers rare double vanities and the classic shower/tub combo.
Again, this beautiful vacation rental is a short drive to downtown Palm Springs, with its many bars, shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Other Palm Springs attractions are similarly a short drive away, from area casinos and gambling, to world renowned spa resorts, tennis, golfing, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. The clubhouse is current closed and not available to residents.
The Ocotillo Lodge is a premier “neighborhood” of Palm Springs, rich with architecture and history. It’s a tight-nit collection of homeowners who know each other and The Lodge has it’s own set of full-time residents. It should be noted the city has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” condo. Each guest is expected to be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed.
