Summary: We absolutely adored the Quinta da Lagoa. Two lovely pools, great staff, beautiful grounds, lots to do. Just a short drive to both Mira and Praia de Mira, which have great restaurants. About a 25 minute drive to Aveiro. The mattresses are not as hard as most other Portuguese hotels, thank goodness. The breakfast is as good as other Portuguese hotels we've been to: consider it a good continental breakfast, while recognizing that the hot portion isn't so... hot, lol. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. I had stayed here alone two years previously, and had been wanting to bring my wife since then. This time we both went, and she loved it as much as I did. We'll definitely be coming back!
