Little Jaybird Cottage is a new guest house nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains in Fairview, NC. The cottage is 20 minutes from Chimney Rock and Black Mountain, and 30 minutes from Asheville, NC. Here you are welcomed to a unique vacation getaway, as your stay will be on a farmstead featuring organic produce, heritage breed animals, bees, mushroom production, and more. Fairview is an up and coming mountain town with two breweries, an ice cream shop, restaurants, hiking trails and more.
The guest house was built in the top of a small barn located on the property. It is in a separate building from our house, with private entry and parking available. There is a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, sink, toaster oven, blender, cookware and coffee pot (full sized and a Keurig). There is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, toilet, vanity/sink. The bathroom doubles as a laundry room with a washer and dryer. In the living room you will have access to books, games, TV, Blu-Ray player, a full sized futon, and more. We have included a Google Nest for Bluetooth capable music or free music through YouTube or google play.
Your stay includes bathroom essentials (shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairdryer, etc.). You will also find some quick breakfast options (think oatmeal, granola bars, or muffins, etc) and fresh eggs from our farm. We will also leave coffee, tea and hot chocolate for your enjoyment.
Outside you will find a serene mountain farm. Stroll on our secluded hiking trails, visit with the animals, grill on the deck or have a fire in the fire pit. We also have a small pump track for biking on the back of our property (which is great for adults and kids alike). There are places to stop and sit outside to get in touch with nature. There is so much to see in our area, but you may find that you don’t want to leave the farm!
