The Southern Belle 3 is a combination rental of all apartments (Parlor, Terrace, and Skyline) located in the upper portion of this nicely updated historic townhome. You will be renting the first, second, and third-floor apartments which are all accessed through a private entrance. The Southern Belle Townhome sits on East Taylor Street within a block to Bull Street on Monterey Square. This square's main attraction is perhaps one of the most famous houses in Savannah, the Mercer-Williams House. This home was originally built in 1860 and was finished in 1868. The home was made famous in the 1994 book "The Garden of Good and Evil" which was later turned into a movie, is based on real-life events and people who lived the Mercer Williams House. Just across the square from Mercer House sits Congregation Mickve Israel, one of the few neo-Gothic style synagogues in the United States. The Synagogue was erected in the 1870s and is home to the third-oldest Jewish congregation in America. Both Mercer-Williams House and Mickve Israel offer tours of these beautifully restored buildings.
Southern Belle Parlor (First Floor):
Spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment on the second level of this historic townhome. It features beautifully refinished hardwood floors with high ceilings, and architectural details throughout. The living area has a sleeper sofa, and a 55" Smart TV and a decorative fireplace with a TV mounted above. Southern Belle Terrace (Second Floor):
Another spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment also features beautifully refinished hardwood floors with high ceilings, and architectural touches throughout. There is a small terrace on the Monterey Square side that is a great spot for enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The bedroom is furnished with a King size bed, and a smart TV, and has privacy doors leading to the living area. The living area is comfortably furnished and includes a smart TV and 2 Twin-sized inflatable beds for extra sleeping. There is a full kitchen including a dishwasher and an in-unit washer and dryer.
Southern Belle Skyline (Third Floor):
This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is located on the top floor of the townhome and offers picture-worthy views of the Savannah skyline. The bedroom is furnished with a King size bed and smart TV and there are also 2 Twin inflatable beds for extra sleeping. The living room offers a great space to relax and also has a smart TV. There is a kitchen, no dishwasher, and in-unit washer/dryer.
In-unit WIFI is available. The occupancy limit for the day and overnight guests is a maximum of 12.
Parking information: Parking for this home is on-street and metered Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Guests are encouraged to either purchase a pre-paid parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center or park on a nearby non-metered street. Neighborhood street parking spaces have a 2-hour time limit on Taylor Street nearest to the townhome.
