Southern Belle Manor is a combination rental of all apartments - Garden, Parlor, Terrace, Skyline, and Carriage House. Garden enjoys its own private entrance on the ground level and the other three apartments are accessible through the entrance on the first floor. The Southern Belle Manor sits on East Taylor Street within a block to Bull Street on Monterey Square. This square's main attraction is perhaps one of the most famous houses in Savannah, the Mercer-Williams House. This home was originally built in 1860 and was finished in 1868. The home was made famous in the 1994 book "The Garden of Good and Evil" which was later turned into a movie, is based on real-life events and people who lived the Mercer Williams House. Just across the square from Mercer House sits Congregation Mickve Israel, one of the few neo-Gothic style synagogues in the United States. The Synagogue was erected in the 1870s and is home to the third-oldest Jewish congregation in America. Both Mercer-Williams House and Mickve Israel offer tours of these beautifully restored buildings.
Southern Belle Garden (Ground Floor):
The largest of the apartments, this 1 bedroom 1 bath is over 1350+ square feet and takes up the entire ground level of a beautifully updated Savannah townhome and features refinished hardwood flooring, exposed beams, brick walls, and architectural details throughout. The bedroom is furnished with a King size bed, and a smart TV, and has privacy doors leading to the living area. Spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment on the second level of this historic townhome. It features beautifully refinished hardwood floors with high ceilings, and architectural details throughout. The spacious kitchen has a dining table that seats 4, granite countertops, and all appliances, including a dishwasher. The bedroom is furnished with a King size bed, and a smart TV, and has privacy doors leading to the living area. The living area is comfortably furnished and includes a smart TV and 2 Twin-sized inflatable beds for extra sleeping. There is a full kitchen including a dishwasher.
Southern Belle Skyline (Third Floor):
This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is located on the top floor of the townhome and offers picture-worthy views of the Savannah skyline. The bedroom is furnished with a King size bed and smart TV and there are also 2 Twin inflatable beds for extra sleeping. The living room offers a great space to relax and also has a smart TV. There is a kitchen, no dishwasher.
Southern Belle Carriage House (Behind Townhome):
The contemporary apartment, at about 1100 square feet of living space, features refinished hardwood floors, exposed beams, brick walls, and architectural details throughout. The cozy ground level living area has a Queen size sleeper sofa and a flat-screen TV. The renovated kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, and has a large center island with a breakfast bar with seating for 2. This two-story apartment has a unique spiral staircase that connects the interior spaces (this spiral staircase is very narrow, please use caution). There is a private, outdoor courtyard off the living room that also has stairs that lead up to the second-floor bedroom. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs and it comes furnished with a King size bed and a smart TV. There is a sitting room attached to the bedroom that also has a daybed, for flexible sleeping space. The bathroom has a tub and shower combination.
WIFI is available throughout the home and each apartment includes its own washer and dryer. The occupancy limit for the day and overnight guests are a maximum of 20. Only the garden level apartment, carriage house, and courtyard are pet-friendly, so please make sure to only allow your dog to enjoy these spaces. Pets are allowed for an additional fee.
Parking information: Parking for this home is in a parking zone that is metered Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Guests are encouraged to either purchase a pre-paid parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center or park on a nearby non-metered street. Neighborhood street parking spaces have a 2-hour time limit on Taylor Street nearest to the townhome. Parking in this zone is not metered on Saturday and Sunday.
