Thoughtfully and beautifully updated, Heaven on Seventh Cottage is an ideal spot to entertain family and friends with many areas for relaxing together. Located in the desirable cluster cottage home neighborhood of Chestnut Knoll. It is an easy drive from the Main Gate You will feel truly at home and at peace for your quiet getaway to Big Canoe!
Enter by a rocking chair front porch, which invites guests to take a seat and enjoy a moment in the grand rocking chairs. Then, just inside the front door, is a spacious kitchen with granite countertops and a 1/2 bath. Open plan living allows guests to look across the main floor, from kitchen to dining, to living room, and on to views of the Championship golf course and the woods -and beyond. The rustic-glam dining area seats 8 guests for meals in comfort. The living room boasts gorgeous views, a stacked stone fireplace, comfortable upscale seating, and is an ideal backdrop for time spent together. The primary bedroom is on the main level and has a bathroom ensuite. Flanking the living room is a large deck (perfect for grilling) and a screen sitting porch with an additional dining table. View, view, view! from both decks. Downstairs a tv viewing nook and pool table offer fun for all in the lower living room. Flanking the lower living room is another large deck, perfect for taking in the views!

THE AREA:
Big Canoe is an 8,000-acre wildlife gated community in the hardwood forest of the Blue Ridge Mountains just north of Atlanta, offering over twenty-four miles of maintained hiking trails and plenty of wildlife including deer, black bears, and turkey. With seven mountains and five lakes, the community has a beautiful backdrop for its three championship golf courses, fourteen tennis courts, three swimming pools (one Big indoor), swimming lake (with beach, paddle boats, canoes, & paddle boards), stunning mountain lake (with marina, fishing & rental pontoon boats) and first class wellness center and basketball court. As a renter, you have access to all of the Big Canoe amenities paid directly for each amenity. I'm sorry, but we do not offer any passes with the rental. We are more than happy to offer our recommendations about the local area and answer any questions you have about the home or the community. OCCUPANCY:
This unit allows 8 overnight guests. Feel free to have guests over, however, in compliance with the city regulations, there cannot be more than 8 people overnight in the unit at any given time. Over occupancy may result in eviction.
RESORT-LIKE AMENITIES:
We have 3 golf courses, 5 lakes, hiking trails, a wellness center, yoga, indoor & outdoor pools, sauna, saline whirlpool, tennis, pickleball courts, bocce courts, Jeep Trail, beach & water slide. The Fitness Center with an indoor heated pool, Chapel, and Swim Club with an outdoor pool, beach, swimming lake, and water slide are next to this neighborhood.
PARKING:
Two vehicles can park in the private area directly in front. Additional parking available in The Chapel community overflow parking lot nearby.
COFFEEMAKERS:
Keurig and drip coffeemakers.
FIREPLACE:
Is wood burning (not gas), guests are welcome to bring firelog or firewood.
**CLEANING PROTOCOLS** A housekeeping fee will be included on all reservations. This fee will vary in price based on the size of the property. The house is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival. Please inspect it at check in and call housekeeping at in the event something is unsatisfactory. As we will send housekeeping back to the property to re-clean the reported areas, no refunds will be given for housekeeping issues. There is no fee within the first 24 hours to return and address the issue. All cleaning is done by professionals who use advanced cleaning practices and disinfectants. We maintain excellent cleaning standards and pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests, with photos of each room to ensure clean is up to highest standards. We fight fabricated claims for discounts with our extensive documentation on the house and post names to web for the protection of other hosts. :-) This beautiful home is not pet friendly. :-)
GATHERINGS:
We know you are coming to Big Canoe to have a good time, but out of respect to the other tenants and neighbors, this property has a strict No Party policy.
QUIET HOURS:
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all persons in their unit.
SMOKING:
Smoking of any kind is not allowed in the unit. There will be a minimum $250 penalty fee if it is determined that there was smoking in your Cottage during your reservation period.
MINIMUM AGE:
Guests named on the reservation must be 25 years or older. By booking a reservation, you represent and warrant that you are 25 or older. The name on the reservation must be present at check-in and throughout the duration of the stay.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
Check-in time is at or after 4pm and check-out time is prior to or at 10am. Early check-ins and late checkouts are based on availability and can be requested one day before. Additional fees may apply.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellation charges are as follows: rental payments are fully refundable until 14 days prior to the reservation arrival date (less credit card fees). If 8-13 days prior to the reservation, 1/2 the total rent and tax can be refunded. Less than 7 days: cleaning and pet fees can be refunded. We will do our best to work with each guest. We have many repeat guests so we try to take care of each and every one.
