Enjoy mountain time at this comfortable, spacious, and stately home which once hosted missionaries on retreat. Enter a large, inviting living room, with 2-story windows, fireplace, tv, and cabinets filled with family games. A roomy kitchen, with an island, easily accommodates cooking for large groups. Offers an amazing nook for relaxation. The living room, dining, and keeping room overlook a large outdoor deck that's perfect for grilling and relaxation. This stunning house features forest and mountain views- throughout. A true beauty that captures you from the inside out!
Make way into this bright space! The primary bedroom is on the main and offers an inviting retreat with a private fireplace, an ensuite bathroom, and a king bed. Downstairs is a second comfortable living room with both fireplace and TV, overlooks a lower deck, and is flanked on both sides by additional bedrooms. To one side is a bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bath. Off to the other side, are two bedrooms (1 with queen bed, 1 with 2 twin beds) which share a full hall bath. Upstairs 2 bedrooms share a bathroom (king and queen beds) and a loft area.

THE AREA:
Big Canoe is an 8,000-acre wildlife gated community in the hardwood forest of the Blue Ridge Mountains just north of Atlanta, offering over twenty-four miles of maintained hiking trails and plenty of wildlife including deer, black bears, and turkey. With seven mountains and five lakes, the community has a beautiful backdrop for its three championship golf courses, fourteen tennis courts, three swimming pools (one Big indoor), swimming lake (with beach, paddle boats, canoes, & paddle boards), stunning mountain lake (with marina, fishing & rental pontoon boats) and first class wellness center and basketball court. As a renter, you have access to all of the Big Canoe amenities paid directly for each amenity. I'm sorry, but we do not offer any passes with the rental. We are more than happy to offer our recommendations about the local area and answer any questions you have about the home or the community. OCCUPANCY:
This unit allows 14 overnight guests. Feel free to have guests over, however, in compliance with the city regulations, there cannot be more than 14 people overnight in the unit at any given time. Over occupancy may result in eviction.
RESORT-LIKE AMENITIES:
We have 3 golf courses, 5 lakes, hiking trails, a wellness center, yoga, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, saline whirlpool, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce courts, Jeep Trail, dog park, beach, water slide.
PARKING & LOCKBOX:
Easy access to home- from the large, level driveway and parking area. Five vehicles can park on the driveway. PLEASE use Google Maps with the address to take you to the house. It will take you right to house easily, every time :))) (Waze and car GPS are not as reliable in the mountains for all houses in this community.) The LOCKBOX for this home is located on the garage door, left door, left side of door. This home does not have a smart lock, guests will use the lockbox on the left garage door.
FIREPLACE:
This home has 2 gas fireplace controlled by a clickers.
**CLEANING PROTOCOLS** A housekeeping fee will be included on all reservations. This fee will vary in price based on the size of the property. The house is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival. Please inspect it at check in and call housekeeping at in the event something is unsatisfactory. As we will send housekeeping back to the property to re-clean the reported areas, no refunds will be given for housekeeping issues. There is no fee within the first 24 hours to return and address the issue. All cleaning is done by professionals who use advanced cleaning practices and disinfectants. We maintain excellent cleaning standards and pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests, with photos of each room to ensure clean is up to highest standards. We fight fabricated claims for discounts with our extensive documentation on the house and post names to web for the protection of other hosts. :-) This beautiful home is not pet friendly. :-)

GATHERINGS:
We know you are coming to Big Canoe to have a good time, but out of respect to the other tenants and neighbors, this property has a strict No Party policy.
QUIET HOURS:
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all persons in their unit.
SMOKING:
Smoking of any kind is not allowed in the unit. There will be a minimum $250 penalty fee if it is determined that there was smoking in the home during your reservation period.
MINIMUM AGE:
Guests named on the reservation must be 30 years or older. By booking a reservation, you represent and warrant that you are 30 or older. The name on the reservation must be present at check-in and throughout the duration of the stay.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
Check-in time is at or after 4pm and check-out time is prior to or at 10am. Early check-ins and late checkouts are based on availability and can be requested one day before. Additional fees may apply.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellation charges are as follows: rental payments are fully refundable until 14 days prior to the reservation arrival date (less credit card fees). If 8-13 days prior to the reservation, 1/2 the total rent and tax can be refunded. Less than 7 days: cleaning and pet fees can be refunded. We will do our best to work with each guest. We have many repeat guests so we try to take care of each and every one.
