Summary: The relentless road traffic noise from the 3 roads ( 2 of which are main trunk roads into funchal with non stop busses and coaches) spoilt what is otherwise a very good appartment. It has all you need in it and the location ( other than being on a trunk road) is great . The check in process is a pain if you have not sent copy of your passport ahead. The B&B you have to find is at least 1/2 mile away and up steep steps. Also, finding the appartment was initially not very easy on google maps.
