Summary: We rented this property in Goodyear for 13 nights as our final family trip as my last childs graduation. We rented it for the number of rooms, layout and the pool/spa. Upon arrival, the key was not in the lockbox and we had to enter the home through a garage key code. The instructions mentioned it should be in the lockbox. The windows were not clean, the handsoap and kitchen detergent were watered down, the fridge was not clean, the pool and spa were unusable due to algae and cloudiness, the pool control iphone did not work, and the front courtyard was unclean including a dead bird that had been there for some time. I texted the contact number I had with no answer for the first day and finally the owner. The pool cleaner showed up the first full day and had to shock the pool 3 times and scrub it to get it clean enough to use. The owner said the pool cleaner was not truthful that he had not been there for a long time. The only time the property owner reached out is when I turned up the pool head over 84 because the hot tub would not heat past 90 and kept draining into the pool. When I finally got a hold of the owner he really took no accountability, but made excuses for the issues we were having and explaining how expensive the property is to manage. This is our 4th year to Arizona in large homes that are within the same price range, size and location. The condition of the home was definitely below our past experiences and the response from the owner/manager was subpar. Ultimately we were not able to use the pool/spa much for the first 4 days, had to clean the outside areas before use, and be very cautious of a few areas of the home because they didn't work properly(door locks, master bathroom shower). During the rental process I was surprised that they stressed no parties...no parties. Ok. We aren't having a party. We did have a barbecue and ok'd it with the property manager. The owner did comment that he thought the pool was dirty because of the guests we invited to the home for a dinner. The extra individuals were one child and two adults. Also, if they don't want parties they might want to empty the full cupboard of partial alcohol bottles. That might be why they are worried about parties. If you are not spending a ton of time in the home it might be ok. We planned our vacation the majority of our time was to be in the pool and spend time as a family. Overall the experience left me disappointed. We have had better experiences.
