Bear Top Lodge is the perfect place for families and friends to enjoy quality, relaxing time together.
Sip a cup of joe in the morning on the quiet and peaceful front deck as the day slowly begins. Throughout the day, your options are numerous: enjoy drinks on the back deck relaxing on the outdoor sofa or playing games at the high-top bar; soak in rays or read a book on a chaise lounge during the summer months; challenge your friends to a cornhole or bocce ball tournament in the landscaped lower area; or hand-feed the deer right off the back deck. By night, enjoy a campfire with seating for 7 or rejuvenate in the 7-person hot tub.
Even when you're inside, Bear Top Lodge welcomes nature's healing powers as light is abundant throughout the home as large windows and three sliding doors invite the peaceful landscape inside. Relax on a sofa with the sound of a crackling indoor fire. An upscale kitchen with bar seating for three or an extendable Acacia wood dining table for 6-8 allows for numerous dining options depending on your mood. Bear Top Lodge boasts upscale kitchen amenities such as a Keurig, Vitamix, All-Clad cookware, Mikasa dishware and flatware, crockpot, wine rack, bakeware, a water purifying system throughout the house, a 4-burner outdoor gas grill, and the list goes on.
Bear Top Lodge also provides modern necessities such as complimentary Wi-Fi, three flat screen televisions, phone chargers in every bedroom, a blue-tooth sound system, zone electric baseboard heating in every room, and four (4) LG mini-duct systems to provide additional heating or cooling needs.
Bear Top Lodge offers fun activities year-round. In the spring and fall, find a new trail to hike in nearby Hickory Run State Park (11 miles) or the Lehigh Gorge State Park (25 miles), explore the unique town of Jim Thorpe (18 miles), or get a round of golf in at Split Rock Resort (2 miles) or Jack Frost National Golf Club (12 miles). Enjoy two 2-person kayaks on intimate Lake Harmony during the summer months. In the winter months, hit the slopes at Big Boulder Mountain (3 miles) or Jack Frost Ski Resort (12 miles).

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house, plus beach passes to Lake Harmony Beach and two 2-person kayaks (with paddles and life jackets) to enjoy on Lake Harmony during the summer months. Your stay also includes access to the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, stainless steel gas grill, and a complimentary bundle of fire wood.
We provide bath towels and bedding. Each bed has linens, pillows, and bedding provided. The house has beds for up to 11 people. We recommend children or teens on the top bunks (queen bunks) in Bedrooms 2 and 3. Additionally, there are two pull-out sofas if necessary, but bedding is not provided for those locations.
House games include Monopoly, Scrabble, Rummikub, Uno, and Poker Set.
Enjoy three (3) flat screen TVs with streaming options for Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Redbox, Xumo, Vudu, and others.
The house includes a GE washer and dryer for your convenience as well.
Other things to note
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND vehicles with 4-wheel drive. The driveway has a steep incline which may be difficult in wintry and/or wet conditions. Parking is available for up to 3 large vehicles and 1 compact vehicle. Please be aware of the well cap (at the main driveway) and compactor (near the shed), both of which are marked at their locations.
We have contracts with snow plow and snow removal personnel. We will notify our contractors in advance of your scheduled arrival, but we cannot guarantee exactly when their services will be available due to staffing shortages. We do provide snow shovels and salting products for your convenience if necessary during your stay.
We do ask that you please wear sandals, slides, or slippers to and from the hot-tub as any kind of dirt or particles can damage the filtration system. We also ask that you not use any glass bottle on or near the hot tub.
Please dispose of your waste in the garbage cans located inside the bear box at the bottom of the driveway. Always secure the latch and cable after disposing of the waste and raise the red flag on the box to notify our waste service providers.
We've provided everything we feel we would need or want when we go on vacation. If there is anything that we didn't think of, please let us know and we'd be happy to accommodate as best as possible.
