Located in the prestigious Vanderhorst section of Kiawah Island, 801 Osprey Cottage Lane is tucked away amongst picturesque live oaks at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Surrounded by ponds, the home offers stunning views of the nature and wildlife of the Lowcountry. Situated directly behind the 10th tee box of the Osprey Point Golf Course, the home also provides excellent views of the 10th fairway and the 18th green. The Osprey Point Golf Course clubhouse and Cherrywood BBQ restaurant are steps away. A short leisurely walk or bike ride will bring you to Kiawah’s amazing private beaches. Featuring abundant windows, maple hardwood floors, slate tile, sisal rugs, and crisp white walls, this coastal home is light, bright, and calm.
Upon entering the home, you'll find a unique reverse floor plan, which makes the most of the views. The first floor contains four bedrooms, an office with a sleeper sofa, and a laundry room. Three bedrooms have a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. The fourth bedroom is the spacious master suite with two walls of windows and a fabulous view. Ascending to the second floor, you will find the lovely living and dining spaces. The floor-to-ceiling windows of the sunlit vaulted-ceiling living room showcase striking tree-top views of manicured golf fairways and sparkling water. Relax on the large sectional sofa, enjoying the view or watching your favorite show on the 65” TV. Off the living room is a den with an 85” TV and a large desk, ready for those who may need to work or study. Settle into the comfortable leather sofa for movie night or set out a board game on the ottoman…so many options! These two TVs are equipped with Apple TVs and Sonos sound bars, and a Sonos sound system provides music throughout the upper floor.
The open kitchen with large central island is a great place to cook and entertain guests. Perch on the five bar stools to enjoy the cook's company or eat a meal. The contemporary kitchen features stainless appliances, two sinks, a gas range, two ovens, microwave oven, a warming drawer and walk-in pantry. A 43” TV hangs over a built-in desk and shelving. The nearby bar area with a second refrigerator provides extra space for your beverages and food, and a gas grill is located on the deck outside the kitchen. The adjacent dining room, also open to the great room and front staircase, seats eight comfortably.
A highlight of the house is the spectacular spacious wood-shingled screened porch with vaulted ceiling and slate floor, just off the kitchen.
