This beautiful home is on the edge of the marsh and adjacent to a small part of Cinder Creek. It is located behind the second gate in Vanderhorst Community.
The pool, deck and screened porches are essentially surrounded by marsh on three sides providing maximum privacy and wonderful evening ocean breezes. Take a short bike ride to the beach in the morning, relax by the pool in the afternoon! The salt water pool and outdoor living area provide you with the complete Kiawah Island vacation experience!
The pool is 24 feet long, and has a bench along the entire length so you can relax in the water and look out across the marsh at the snowy egrets and ospreys. The deck was built around a beautiful old live oak that provides wonderful shade over the outdoor dining area.
This home has 6 bedrooms on two floors. All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans, and flat screen televisions.
The first floor has two guest suites, each with private baths. One of the suites is surrounded by windows and has a beautiful view of the marsh. It has a private door to the deck and pool, and it includes a queen size bed. The second bedroom has a king size bed.
There are four bedrooms on the second floor. The primary bedroom suite on the second floor has a king size bed, a new private screened porch overlooking the marsh and an amazing steam shower. A family suite consisting of two bedrooms is connected by a shared bath. One of these two bedrooms has a king size bed with marsh views and is literally situated in the branches of an old live oak. The other bedroom in the family suite has a queen size bed and a full size bed (located in a dormer window). The fourth (second floor) bedroom includes a king sized bed and private bath.
The downstairs living space is an open floor plan. The family room has high ceilings with windows on two story’s providing bright, southern light to the entire downstairs area. The family room is equipped with a large, 55 inch flat screen television and a Blu Ray/DVD player. We provide a wonderful selection of DVDs, games and books. The stereo system has a Bluetooth connection so you may play your music from speakers in the family room and the porch.
The kitchen is equipped for someone who loves to cook! A gas range, a new Bosch french door refrigerator, and a spacious granite island will make any chef happy! The kitchen is open to the dining area which has a long, wood farm table that seats 10-12.
Centered between the dining room and screened in porch is a lovely sun room. This is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning as the sun is beginning its move across the marsh. Or, enjoy a good book (or a nap!) in the afternoon on the porch while still part of the action since it also opens out onto the deck and pool!
The laundry room next to the kitchen has a large washer and dryer, a small cold drink refrigerator/freezer, and a countertop oven.
The home is located behind the second gate near Osprey Point golf course and the Ocean Golf Course. It is 1.5 miles to the beach (a 10 minute bike ride or a 5 minute car ride). The best beach access points have two parking lots available making transporting beach gear and non-bike riders a breeze. This part of the beach is pristine and absolutely beautiful! We also provide beach chairs and beach toys. The garage is available and includes a ping pong table.
We use a local management company to make sure all your needs are met. The property manager will provide groceries and other concierge services upon request.
Guests have 10 days from booking date to sign and return rental agreement together with a copy of driver’s license or booking dates may be released. You may choose to heat the pool for an additional charge. From June - August, there is a 7 night minimum and bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.
Additional cleaning and sterilization measures are being taken due to Covid 19 virus.
