Welcome to the Good Hope Cottage! This cottage is our long-time dream-come-true, and we hope it will give you your own dream-vacation experience on idyllic Cape Cod.
Located in a quiet residential neighborhood off Rte. 28, the Good Hope Cottage is the perfect getaway. The area has many wonderful routes for biking, hiking, and jogging. It is only a 2-minute walk to the peaceful Swan Pond, so be sure to bring your kayaks! Or, take a short drive to one of the many family-friendly Nantucket Sound or bay beaches nearby. Our favorite is Parker River Beach, with a children’s playground, snack bar, clean bathhouse, gorgeous gazebo for shade during the day, and community concerts at night. Good Hope Cottage is less than a mile’s drive to many area attractions, such as bike trails, mini-golf, “Best of Cape” restaurants, supermarkets, golf courses, Cape Cod Inflatable Park, and the Whydah Pirate Museum, to just name a few.
Vacationers will enjoy the full kitchen amenities, including a lobster pot. Sleep comfortably and keep cool by enjoying the cross breeze or turning on the window air conditioners throughout the house. Bedroom one has a queen-sized bed with a comfortable firm memory foam mattress, and the second bedroom has a twin bed and a double bed. The living room has two large sofas, one of which is a sleeper (for teens who like to stay up past their bedtime to watch TV on the new flat screen). A new travel crib ensures that our littlest vacationers can have a good night's rest too. There is a large capacity washer and dryer, as well as a clothesline outside for those wet beach towels.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the comfortable patio, or relax with a good book in the hammock while the children play in the beautifully landscaped yard of this corner lot property. After a day at the beach (we have beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and beach toys for your use), rinse the sand and salt off in the private outdoor shower with an attached changing room. A large gas grill is ready for nighttime grilling. End the evening with a Netflix movie or playing board games.
