This comfortable, quiet oasis is situated at the edge of the woods with a flowing brook, 5 minutes from town. A perfect location for your upstate summer getaway to explore all that Woodstock and the Catskills have to offer — restaurants, galleries, shops, hikes, movie theaters, theater-theaters, music venues, or, to just hang out on the back deck, grill, swim and relax.
The house is a two-level bungalow dating from the 1940’s, with Arts & Crafts-style details and mid-century-inspired additions. The first floor has an open flow between the living room, tv area and dining area that opens directly onto the back deck and pool, which is surrounded by mature trees, flowering bushes and morning glories. (There is an alarm on the door to the pool area, but supervision may be needed for children and pets.) Out back is a wooded path to the stream, and there is a small fenced in side yard.
There are three bedrooms, all with queen-sized beds. Two are on the ground floor and the third is on the second floor with an en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a full sized bathroom with bath tub on the ground floor. The house sleeps 6 adults comfortably, and each bedroom is in a different part of the house, providing privacy. Children and pets welcome.
