Welcome to Bluegrass Bungalow, where your comfort is my priority!! We are THE CLOSEST short-term rental option to the KY Expo Center and Highland Festival Grounds for concerts, sporting events, KY Kingdom and other events at the Expo Center. You will be 5 minutes to the airport, zoo, Mega Cavern, groceries and restaurants. Churchill Downs, U of L, Cardinal Stadium and Bellarmine University are less than 10 minutes away. Going downtown? KFC Yum! Center, KY International Convention Center (KICC), Lynn Family Stadium (LOU City and Racing Louisville Soccer), Louisville Slugger Field (Louisville Bats Baseball), distilleries, and Fourth Street Live are all less than 15 minutes away.
THE SPACE:
The first floor provides guests with plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. Enjoy a movie or game together in the living area with sectional, ottoman and chair as you watch the 65" smart TV. The attached dining area with seating for six allows you to watch TV while you eat or play a game together. Have to do a little work? We have provided a desk and chair for your remote work. The large, bright kitchen with lots of large and small appliances and a table for six is another perfect space for meals or game night. When it is time to call it a day, there are two queen bedrooms with plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack and make yourself at home. There are wall mounted, 43" smart TVs in each to wrap up your evening with a movie in bed. You will also find a full bath (tub with shower) furnished with shampoo, conditioner, bath wash, hand soap, makeup wipes and cloths.
Upstairs, you'll have two more bedrooms: One is private and has both a queen and a twin-xl bed. The other is a walk-thru with sleeper sofa, TV area with 43" smart TV and lots of card and board games. There is also a second, fully supplied, full bath with tub and shower.
Chill out in the basement sitting area with 53" TV, full-size air hockey and 2-person electronic basketball game. There are also two twin-xl beds for your comfort. The laundry room is complete with full-size washer and dryer, ironing board and iron, and plenty of detergent pods and fabric softener sheets. There is also a large table to make folding and sorting easier.
Outside, you can pull up the driveway and park on the private concrete parking pad that easily holds up to 6 vehicles. The covered front porch provides a great place to sit and enjoy the fresh air, even on a rainy day.
NOTE: For my guests' safety and security, there are two active cameras, one on the front porch and one on the back. Both record audio and video when motion is detected. The front porch camera monitors the porch, steps and sidewalk, while the rear monitors the steps and parking area. Maintaining my guests' privacy is extremely important to me, and these devices serve only to provide safety and security.
Quick, easy access to I-65 and I-264 makes almost anything in Louisville less than a 20 minute drive.
