Owner needs to approve the number of pups and friendliness PRIOR TO INSTANT Booking and I REQUIRE SPECIAL /EXTRA GRATUITY (more than you would normally leave) to our Caretaker (since you are not paying pet or boarding fees for your precious Pups. We know you do not want to leave them behind.
Most charge huge fees; NO added cleaning fees, extras provided AND 3 or more day rentals during specified months. You will be provided towels, washcloths, bed linens, blankets, and quilts. Beds will be made and ready for your stay. We do also provide you with STARTER paper towels, STARTER toilet paper, STARTER Detergent, some spices, shampoo, soaps, hair dryer, etc.
ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A TRULY RELAXED HATTERAS ISLAND VACATION THE WAY IT IS MEANT TO BE?? Our home "Something Fishy" is a one-level beach vacation cottage, offering the complete rest and relaxation you are looking for. It is located just moments away from everything Hatteras Island has to offer, and comes with an awesome sunset and sound views. Directly across from Pamlico Sound (being a barrier Island, Hatteras Island is located between Pamlico Sound which looks as large as the Ocean without the waves, and the Atlantic Ocean) so you are always very close to water.
A few 3 to 4-night stays during summer months - be sure to check the calendar for less than weeks stays during June, July & August. The entire home comes equipped with Wi-Fi access; 3 smart TV's/Roku-Netflix, news, many channels, and 1 flatscreen in the open bedroom with VHS/DVD players and plenty of movies. If you plan to bring your boat the paved driveway is very large and turning around is not a problem. Something Fishy is across from Scotch Bonnet Marina. Most prefer to put boats in at different marinas along the Island. There is lots of room to walk your pup on the lot. Note: The yard is not completely fenced in. Since we do not charge a pet fee we require you to advise us of the number of Precious Pups & Breeds you wish to bring and we require you to leave a nice gratuity (more than you normally would) to our caretaker as no matter what there is extra clean for our precious Pups. We know you love them and do not want to leave them at a boarding facility. On the ground floor of the home, to the right of the staircase, you will find a Spa room full of windows and natural light and curtains for privacy in which to enjoy as you bask in the warm waters of the Hot Tub 6-person hot in enclosed room. The windows keep the bugs out and Mermaid Curtains give you privacy while you relax. You will find a new Charcoal Grill. Make your way up the flight of stairs to the covered landing. Enter the home and you will find a fully stocked kitchen and dining area with seating for six and everything you need to cook your own meals. Wooden trays are also provided for extra diners.
The kitchen is open to the living room. with high vaulted ceilings, nice furnishings, a propane fireplace, a TV that has built-in Roku/Netflix and many channels, a sofa, a loveseat, and gas fire logs. You are sure to feel right at home.
Off of the kitchen, an open bedroom provides you a view of the Pamlico Sound, Scotch Bonnet Marina, and amazing Sunset views. In this open room (NOTE: this is NOT a private bedroom, but a room with an opening off the kitchen and living area), you will find sleeping for four (a futon and a double bed). This room is furnished with some board games and books for our guests’ enjoyment as well as a TV and VCR with many movies.
Off of the kitchen, to the right, and down a hallway, you will find two full bathrooms (one with the washer and dryer and a shower/tub combo, the other with a stand-up shower), a bedroom with a queen bed, and a bedroom with a full bed. Each bedroom is equipped with a TV/Roku/Netflix and DVD player.
You are going to have so much fun you will not want to leave Something Fishy or our Paradise Island !!
Prior to your arrival, you will receive check-in information for entry to ‘Something Fishy." Check-in begins at 4:00 pm, but if Something Fishy is usually ready well before 4 pm, and, if so, you are welcome to let yourself in, make yourselves at home and enjoy! You need to contact me to determine the approximate time prior to arrival. I ask no one to show up while the Caretakers are working. You will have self-entry instructions provided to you a couple days before arrival. Our goal is for your vacation to be perfect and we work very hard towards that goal. Whether your vacation dream is to sightsee, visit the infamous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, shipwrecks (there are 2,000 around Hatteras Island known as "Graveyard of the Atlanta) offshore, inshore or surf fishing, surfing or water sports,. parasailing, kiteboarding, enjoying the best, uncrowded beach in the Country, visiting our many local artist's shops, exploring the beaches by 4 x 4 vehicle (must buy a week's permit) eat at some of the best restaurants, or just relaxing and enjoy the beauty, Hatteras Island offers you (which is everything for a beautiful, natural vacation) Whatever your vacation dreams are, if you love nature, and want to leave commercialism and everyday stress at home- you have found your “piece of paradise” with a homeowner who truly cares about your vacation and wants it to be perfect.
