This beautiful, unique home is rich in Red Lodge history. When the Beartooth Highway officially opened in 1936, Red Lodge businessmen sought to open new restaurants, gas stations, and motels. One of the better-known roadside inns was the “Crosser’s Super Service and Auto Court.” Originally, the property consisted of a gas station called “Crossers” and across the street was the “Motor Inn Motel.” While sections of the Motor Inn Motel have been removed, the three buildings on this property, while updated, are the original Motor Inn structures.
