Summary: I booked this hotel for four nights during our stay in Vienna because it offered everything we were looking for: spacious family accommodation, a gym, sauna and an excellent location. As we were driving, we first had to check in and then move the car to a nearby parking area, which was only a short distance away and cost around €25 per night. However, my first impression of the service was disappointing. I had to unload all our luggage, load it onto a trolley and then park the car. By the time I returned, my wife had checked us in, but nobody at reception offered to help with the luggage. I appreciate the hotel may not have a porter, but I would have expected someone to at least offer assistance. Small gestures like this can make a big difference to a guest’s first impression. Thankfully, everything else was generally very good. The accommodation was spacious and worked well for our family. My wife and I used the downstairs bedroom, while the children stayed upstairs on the sofa bed. There was also a separate toilet and a useful workspace upstairs. The room and facilities were perfectly adequate, and I liked the hotel’s efforts to reduce waste. The gym was very small with limited equipment, so I wouldn’t describe it as a full gym, but it was sufficient for a basic workout. I didn’t use the sauna, so can’t comment on that. Overall, a good stay. My main feedback is that reception staff should show more initiative in helping arriving guests.
