Summary: The InterContinental is an okay hotel — very much in the classic American style: large, convenient, and functional, but lacking personality. A few things really brought the experience down. The minibar/fridge service was frustrating: the refrigerator comes locked, and it took far more effort than it should have to get it opened. This was especially inconvenient because I needed to store medication that must be kept refrigerated. Another downside is the carpeted hallways. As someone with allergies, this can be challenging unless the cleaning is absolutely impeccable — and here, it didn’t feel quite reassuring enough. Overall, it’s not the kind of hotel that makes you feel like you need to come back. That said, the other options in the area aren’t very different either.
