Next to Alpine Meadows Resort in North Tahoe, this lovely vacation condo is well-appointed, bright, and welcoming for couples, small groups, or families with kids. Our mountain condo has a clean, modern look and beautiful views. There is a remodeled galley kitchen with open concept dining and living rooms located on the top floor, maximizing the views of mountains and trees. The open ceilings and large windows on this end unit give you the feeling of being in a treehouse.
The kitchen, though small, is well equipped for your cooking needs and the deck has a propane grill. Enjoy the beautiful view from the deck or sit next to a warm fire as the powder piles up, knowing you can be the first on the hill. There is a wood stove in the living room with plenty of wood for guests in addition to wall heaters in each room to keep you toasty. The upstairs master bedroom has a comfortable king bed. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a queen bed and a bunkroom with five bunks, perfect for kids. This is a remarkably quiet mountain perch, even during Tahoe's busiest holiday weekends.
Alpine Meadows is known as the local's ski resort with its secret powder stashes and laid back attitude. Now Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley Resorts are merged, creating awesome skiing opportunities. In the winter, a shuttle operates between the mountains and a single lift ticket is good for both. Advanced skiers can ski from the Scott chair off the slopes to the condo (see directions below).
Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe dining and shopping are located just 6 miles away. Squaw Valley slopes, with fine restaurants and shopping, is six miles away. The family- and beginner- friendly ski resorts Homewood and Tahoe Donner are each within 20 miles; Northstar is also a short distance.
Tahoe is also beautiful in the summer for hiking, biking and boating. In the summer there is great mountain biking out your door. The beautiful Truckee river is at the bottom of the hill. Hike out the door into the Granite Chief wilderness of the Sierra Nevadas, then enjoy the evening on the deck with fantastic views.

Advanced skiers can ski from the Scott chair off the slopes to the condo. Skiing back from Scott is done via Gentian Gully. Ski the ridge until you get to a big old tree that the locals call the Broccoli tree, then ski down towards the direction of the ski area. When you get through the gully with rocks on both sides, cut hard right through the trees back to the condo. Needless to say, you have to be comfortable skiing some tricky terrain.
