Park your car and walk a few blocks to the lake and Regan Beach (attached photo - with children’s playground) or walk to Al Tahoe Meadow with acres of open space for snow shoeing, hiking, biking or fishing. Also within walking distance are kayak or bike rentals and several delicious restaurants: Sprouts - Organic Californian, Mexican, a Deli, and our favorite – Snowflake for burgers and milkshakes.

Stateline’s casinos (Casino Corridor) are less than 3 miles away (a $10 cab ride), and within 2 miles is Heavenly Ski Resort (ski lifts and zip line), Heavenly Village (shopping, restaurants, ice rink, gondola) and Edgewood Golf Course. Summary: The day before we were to travel for our trip I was told that we needed to arrive an hour and a half later so they could do a deep clean due to Covid. I didn’t mind the deep clean but I did mine being told the day before that we could not arrive until 4:30 in the evening. When we arrived the cleaning people were still there so we still could not check in. I asked if I could check out an hour later as we had to arrive an hour and a half later and I was told no. When we got there the cabin looked clean but it was still extremely dirty. The pantry needed to be wiped down before we could put any of our food in it, there was dog hair all over the place. There was dog poop all over the entire property. There was leftover beer bottles and Alcohol bottles all over the property. I received a message from the owner the day we arrived at the fireplace did not work. The door in the hallway was off the hinges and so was the basketball hoop. One of the bunkbeds was broken. The slats were crisscrossed and broken and almost hit my nephew in the face. We found a dirty pair of women’s underwear within the bedding of one of the beds. Anytime I reached out to the owner about these he did apologize and he was quick to reply but I was just disappointed that I was not told about these things before we arrived. The jet in the hot tub also ended up sucking my nephews leg into it and his inner thigh was all cut up and bruised. When I messaged the owner he said that he was sorry and that they had already ordered a part for that jet. I was again disappointed that they did not tell us this before we arrived. There were signs all over the cabin that said you will be fined $1000 for this or $1000 for that so we were always extra careful but it was very hard when you arrived and the place was already dirty and broken. All of the dishes that we use especially the pots and pans were already dirty so we had to clean them before we even use them. I did message the owner quite frequently while I was there to let him know that all of this was not due to my family and I did not want to get charged. I was lastly disappointed that the owner did not offer to give me any of our money back after everything that we had encountered at the cabin. I was just told I’m sorry for your mishaps. My family is very go with the flow and do not like to complain but we definitely won’t be staying at this cabin again.
