Summary: Hotels.comiin We stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon in the Puglia region. We paid €520 for the Premium Suite for two nights, and unfortunately the experience did not reflect the price. We shared our feedback with the staff halfway through our stay so they would have had the opportunity to address our concerns and improve our experience. The outcome was that they offered us a beer from the minibar (which we had already consumed) as compensation and removed a dirty blanket from the room. The “Premium Suite” lacked basic functionality and did not appear to have been properly maintained. The bedspread had a dried white stain on it when we arrived, and the bathroom walls were covered with splashes and marks. There was no proper waste bin, not enough hooks for hanging towels or clothes, and very little surface space for our belongings, including our suitcases. The air conditioning was the loudest we have ever experienced—like sitting in a car with the A/C running at maximum. It was difficult to relax with the constant noise. If we turned the A/C off, we could hear all the noise from the street. The location of our room felt unusual and detached from the rest of the property, although this did not bother us in itself. The room had its own entrance directly from the street. The street outside was fairly busy, with frequent traffic and on-street parking. Since the sidewalk was quite narrow, several pedestrians were startled when our door opened into their path.
