Getting there
If you are traveling to the island without a car this is perfectly possible - you are better getting either the hovercraft from Southsea or the Catamaran from Portsmouth Harbour train station - George St is about a 5-10 minute walk uphill from the Hovercraft or the Esplanade train station.
