The house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom 1,280 sqft home located within Highland Terrace in Oakland. There is also an attached private suite - a 250 sqft studio with a full bathroom & kitchen. With the suite, there is a total of 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
The home went through a massive remodel in 2020 and is a very warm space, with vaulted ceilings in the Living Room & Dining Room in the Main Home. The Cactus House comes with smart locks on the doors, a security system, smart lights in public spaces, an integrated sound system throughout, a dining room meant for entertaining, and a fully equipped kitchen for those who love to cook. The Cactus House kitchen has an induction cooktop, speed oven/microwave, convection oven, fully integrated refrigerator & dishwasher, and several countertop appliances.
The Cactus Suite has a full kitchen with an electric stove, full-sized refrigerator, sink, Nespresso machine, toaster, and microwave.
There are two full bathrooms with stand-alone showers, wall-mounted toilets, heated floors, and towel warmers in the Cactus House. One bathroom is the Master en suite, located inside the Master Bedroom. Both bathrooms have modern elements, floating vanities with storage, medicine cabinets, hand shower sprays, multi-function shower heads, and lighting with dimmers. The Master Bathroom has body sprays in the shower as well.
The Cactus Suite has a large sleeping area with a Queen-size memory foam mattress (with 7' ceilings) and a workstation, as well as one full bathroom with a stand-alone shower, heated floor, medicine cabinet, and beautiful lighting. The ceiling is vaulted to 9' in the kitchen & full bathroom areas. There is also a private deck off of the kitchen.
Street parking is not limited by permits and is entirely free. There are street cleaning days (two times a month) - please pay close attention to the street signs. The driveway is only large enough for one vehicle.
