ABOUT THE HOME
The luxe kitchen upgrades are sure to satisfy the chef in your group. New stone countertops, Stainless steel appliances, a five-burner gas cooktop, a double oven, built-in microwave, Bosch dishwasher and wine fridge are all at your disposal. Along with reverse osmosis filtered drinking water at the kitchen sink and refrigerator. The wet bar with seating for three offers a spot to sip a glass of wine and chat with the chef. The adjacent dining room has a round table seating up to eight people. Or head out to the six-person table for a poolside al fresco meal.
A den just off the kitchen looks out over the pool/spa and firepit, and features a sofa with pull-out temperpedic queen bed and a hightop table for two — great for meals or enjoying a cup of coffee — and a 32 inch Roku TV that swivels for entertainment while you’re cooking, eating or relaxing.
In the evening, settle into the living room for music and conversation. On cool nights, the wraparound gas fireplace adds a warm ambience. Choose a book from the collection — or opt for a movie from the extensive DVD library on the 65-inch flat screen Smart TV and find a comfortable spot on the all-reclining leather sofa set.
The resort style, completely private backyard is sure to be your favorite spot. Chat around the fire pit, grill dinner on the barbecue, lounge in several seating areas or use the outdoor stone countertop to eat or drink near the pool. The beautiful new desert landscaping surrounding the house also offers walking paths, a front yard lounge with firepit and oversized umbrella if you need shade. Sit and have coffee and watch the humming birds or enjoy the mountain views and amazing sunsets. The yards are made completely private by surrounding walls of ficus trees — feel free to sunbathe and relax in complete privacy — and lit up at night by landscape lighting throughout.
The master suite sits alone on one side of the home and features a four-poster king bed, workout equipment including a NordicTrack Elliptical, desk to set up office, a 43 inch flat screen Roku TV & DVD, and black-out curtains for those who want to sleep the days away. A sliding glass door leads to the backyard and pool. The en-suite bathroom has a dual-sink vanity, walk-in shower, and an oversized soaking tub with views to the garden, another sliding glass door also leads to the pool.
The second en-suite bedroom has an attached bathroom and features a luxury queen bed and 55 inch flat screen Roku TV & DVD. The attached guest bathroom has a spacious vanity and a tub/shower combination.
Through French doors off the living room, you’ll find the third bedroom, featuring a queen-sized upholstered bed, oversized windows overlooking the landscaped courtyard and a 32-inch Roku TV.
There is also a half bathroom located off the living area.
Guest amenities include complimentary high-speed WI-FI, cable TV, and a washer/dryer. Up to three cars can park in the driveway. No garage access.
The pool can be heated for additional charge. There is a $400 allowance for utilities which will not cover pool heat in cooler months but will normally cover spa heating. If you don't want pool heat, let Megan know and the Pool Fee will be taken off.
There is a refundable $1500 utility deposit (listed as Electricity Fee) for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays. Renters are allowed $400 in utility credit, anything above that is taken from the deposit.
THE LOCATION
The home is tucked in a quiet, upscale neighborhood in the heart of the Rancho Mirage in the Tamarisk County Club neighborhood. Get your groceries at Gelsons, three minutes away, and enjoy the shops at The River, a nearby shopping mall. The Rancho Mirage Library/Observatory and the Children's Discovery Museum are just a few minutes away.
You are just twenty minutes from downtown Palm Springs, where you can enjoy museums, shopping, and first-class dining. For a hip, modern breakfast and lunch spot, try Cheekys Palm Springs -- the bacon flights are not to be missed. Or for a romantic dinner in a nostalgic setting, check out Copleys on Palm Canyon, part of the former Cary Grant Estate.
For nature lovers, the nearby Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will whisk you to the top of Mt. San Jacinto, and Joshua Tree National Park is only a 40-minute drive. Play a round of golf at a course or try your luck at the casino.
